He suggested that John should put the scarecrow in the field to get rid of the crows, so he did. Eversince John put that scarecrow up in the fields his luck changed, things are getting better. All the crows which invested his farm suddenly died, the irrigation system that has been broken suddenly working again, but it doesn't stop there. All the people who seems to get in John's way mysteriously met misfortune in gruesome ways.

His family starting to think that he's gone crazy and the one who responsible of all the dead people, until they witnessed the horror with their own eyes, when the scarecrow itself tried to take their lives for being obstacles.
